Private Thomas Pye

Age: 35. Died: 2nd September 1918.

Thomas was born in 1883 and lived in Hall Lane, Lydiate, the son of George and Jane Pye. He had four brothers and a sister. In 1914 he was working as a farm labourer, aged 30. He served as a private with the 7th Battalion The King’s Regiment (Liverpool), and was killed at Buissy, near Cambrai, France, just a few weeks before the end of the war.
